Advantages:

  • Strengthens health. Laughter literally aids in healing your body. When you laugh, your body releases endorphins. Endorphins stimulate your muscles, nerves, organs and tissues. They also act as a natural painkiller and increase the feelings of being happy. The release of endorphins can provide relief to chronic pain, relieve stress and promote a higher functioning immune system. Infact, studies have shown that the more you laugh, the less likely you are to get sick.
  • A sense of humor is attractive. Your mood, words, and actions affect those around you. Humans are instinctively drawn to laughter and people that laugh easily.  It brings people closer together. By increasing the laughter in your life you will find that your relationships will improve. When you’re in a bad mood, it negatively impacts others. An upbeat attitude is uplifting and brightens the moods of those around you. When people spend time together in laughter, a stronger, longer-lasting relationship begins to develop.
  • Uplift your mood. It feels good to laugh, and those feelings can last for hours afterwards. Laughter can redirect your focus, reduce stress, and help transition your day into something more enjoyable. Laughter is contagious, which also helps those around you feel less stress and less anxious.
  • Increase your intelligence. At the very least, you’ll learn more easily. Laughter stimulates the learning centers of the brain. Stimulating those areas on a regular basis is believed to enhance the ability to learn new information. Laughter may not help you get an ivy league scholarship, but it may help you improve your memory and recall.

They say that, “Laughter is the best medicine.” Find the laughter in your life, try to keep your mood light, and spend time with others who enjoy laughing, you’ll soon notice your life and attitude improving.
